How we move forward when internal resistance occurs

When we decide to make changes and take actions that are totally new to us, we encounter resistance coming from our sub-conscious, underlying fears connected to past experiences that hinder us from moving forward.

Part of us wants to stay in the past, in the known, because the unknown is beyond the control of the rational mind and causes uncertainty.

What can we do at times like these?

To begin with, it is essential to accept that fears will arise during the process and during this it is key to be able to create spaces to listen to ourselves, attending to the discomfort but without wanting to oppress or control it from a state of despair, but rather to support ourselves without any judgment, being compassionate and loving with ourselves, remembering that it is temporary.

The emotion as such lasts a few minutes, during it we can apply the Tapping tool to program the limiting thoughts and replace them with loving ones or we can also use the Body Scan tool to connect with that part of our body that is manifesting the inner discomfort to receive the message through our intuitive language.

At the same time it is beneficial to create spaces of inner silence to receive guidance, an inner guide that knows the best path to follow and the actions we can take, from our center.

It takes courage to befriend uncertainty and loving discernment as we must be present in each moment to listen to our inner wisdom and take action to choose expansive thoughts and move forward into life, letting go of those limiting thoughts.

For all those who find themselves in a moment in their life where they feel the inner urgency to create radical changes in their life and inner world, I invite you to give yourself the opportunity to reinvent yourself, to intend your day with love, to choose expansive thoughts, to open yourself to new experiences and relationships, give yourself the permission to leave your comfort zone and venture from your heart to a new chapter of your life.
